EU tyre ratings
From November 2012, an energy rating similar to those on fridges and freezers has been available on all new tyres. It has three different categories:
1. Economy
An rated tyre will help save more fuel than an rated tyre
2. Wet grip
An rated tyre will stop in a shorter distance than an rated tyre
3. Rolling noise
How noisy a tyre is when in motion. The lower the number the quieter it will be.
